Achievements (Extra – Curriculars)

Our school students show amazing performances both in studies and Co-curricula’s. We are training our students in Yoga, to have active mind always, they had proved themselves by winning lots of prizes.

Our student Midhun Santhosh of II STD, proved to be a shining kid, by winning glorious awards.

He won “Sri Ramanar Award-2007” at Thiruvannamalai, “Mahavir Awards – 2007” at Swami malai, “G. K Vaasan Achievement Award” at Kovilpatti, “Kamarajar Award – 2008” at Tuticorin, “Mahacithar Award” at Sinthalakari, “District level Champion Award” at Tuticorin, “Young Achiever Award-2007 and 2008”.

Apart from there, he bagged plenty of prizes for his mind blowing performances in yoga.

In addition to these, he is in 2nd place of all district level skating; he bagged a medal and Rolling cup for his performance from Mrs.Geetha jeevan, and Gold coin from G. K. Vasan and DSP of Kovilpatti.

We are very proud and happy to say this student had won six medals and 9 cups so far.

One of the Peak Achievement of Our School is the huge “Arts & Science Exhibition” that we had conducted on 8th and 9th October 2009, at School premises.

The function started in a very grand manner, by Tmt. P. GeethaJeevan M.Com., B.Ed., Honourable social welfare Minister, Govt of Tamilnadu. The lighting of kuthuvilakku was carried on by Thiru. M. Krishna pillai M.sc., M.Ed., Inspector of Matriculation Schools, Virudhunagar.

The Presidentship of the glorious function was given to Thiru. N. Periasamy, Ex. M.L.A. Avl, Thoothukudi port trust member, District Secretary, DMK, in the presence of Thiru. A.P.K. PalaniSelvam Avl, President, Nadar Uravinmurai Sangam, Kovilpatti.

With the grace of Almighty, we started the ceremony with the prayer, followed by the welcome address given by Mrs. A. Suganthy, B.Sc., M.A., M.Ed., Principal of our school and presidential address given by Thiru A.P.K. PalaniSelvam Avl, president of Nadar Uravinmurai sangam, Kovilpatti.

This grand Exhibition holds our students presentation in various fields such as Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Language, Computer Science and Technology. We are very proud to say that this was the very great Arts and science Exhibition ever been conducted in Kovilpatti, with the total participation of 60,000 students.
